April got in touch with me just a few weeks before her wedding. She wanted 4 hours of coverage for an intimate ceremony and some images around the local area after they tied the knot. These gorgeous newlyweds won’t mind me saying that they didn’t feel entirely comfortable in front of the camera, but I hope they adore the final results as much as I do. They looked beautiful in the November light, and so in love 🤍

Fun fact! I flew my drone into a very tall tree on NYE 2023 and I haven’t replaced it yet. I really miss it, especially when it allows me to create images like this one from Maria and Dan’s amazing fun-filled wedding at @falside_mill

These series of images were taken after the first dance. I brought a tray of shots out to the couple and their bridal party and I just watched the drunken hilarity unfold! I think we were out there for around 20 minutes, which isn’t a long time to spend away from the party.. but I think you’ll agree the party was definitely brought outside that night!

If you guys follow my stories, you’ll know that my last wedding of 2024 was dramatic!! Storm Bert turned an hour long journey from Kirkcaldy to Glasgow into a FIVE hour trek (most of that time was sat still watching people have snowball fights on the M90)

I was shattered when I finally arrived at Becca & Matt’s wedding. Thankfully a trusted local photographer was able to cover bridal prep for me (thank you Kirsty!) and I made it to The Engine Works half an hour before the ceremony was due to start 😅

It was pretty much dark by the time the lovely couple had tied the knot, so we got creative inside the awesome venue. Becca & Matt didn’t want the focus to be too much on them, so I spent most of my time capturing guest candids and enjoying exploring the venue for the first time.

Their’s was quite the wedding! The weather didn’t know if it wanted to be blue skies and sunshine or thunder and torrential rain. The newlyweds had a large group shot list, and while it all went smoothly with the help of a very organised groomsman 🙏🏼 it, combined with the crazy weather, ate into our couple shoot time and I know Naomi was concerned about the amount of couple images we got. But as always, there is no need to worry. Whilst you are soaking up the buzz of your day, I’m keeping a mental note of what needs to get done. Trust your photographer, and please listen to us. I’ve known Kerry since primary school, she’s our little 3rd golden amigo Lucy’s mum (you’ll have seen Lucy in a few of my stories over the years, I often walk her and she stays with us when her mum is on holiday) When Kerry came to me with the idea of a golden hour pregnancy photo shoot I was honoured. When she showed me the style of photos she wanted I knew I would be able to bring her vision to life. What I didn’t expect was for Kerry to look so serene, so beautiful, so ethereal whilst standing in 2° Scottish weather in the woods. She said it felt like a spiritual experience and I feel so blessed to have been the one to create that with her ✨
