A wee trick of the trade: Sounds basic, but I highly recommend that all couples sit down and have a blether about what they want from their ceremony, as this will help narrow your celebrant search!Do you want short and sweet, funny and heartfelt or full-on fairytale? Us celebrant folks are a multi-faceted creative bunch, but we do tend to have a mastered style that we do best, so having a rough idea of what you both want before arranging an initial call can save you a lot time and endless scrolling! Once you have your non negotiables, stalk their socials and google reviews (I find insta the better platform for this) and when you get that feeling that “they might be a bit of you” book in for a call and ask them to talk through their ceremony process…because this will vary from celebrant to celebrant.

The Ritz Trio have put together a set of tunes ideal for ceremonies, and if you are wanting a more traditional element to the ceremony listen the samples below which use a violinist. They are able to play most often asked for songs including Pachelbel Canon, At Last (Etta James), Thousand Years (Christina Perri) and All Of Me (John Legend). For the drinks reception the Trio have put together a selection of tunes with something for everyone ranging from jazz to a few more modern tunes played with a jazzy edge.
